Kazuya san,

Thanks very much for your encouraging comments. My situation previously was like you describe - my company in the UK never achieved more than digesting contract jobs day after day. For a product venture to fail you only need to make one serious mistake. I made many mistakes - failure was nothing to do with bad luck. Hopefully, this time round I will have learnt from my previous experiences.

Also, thank you for the corrrection to the embarrassing typo. (Can't believe I spelt マジック wrong this time having spelt it correctly in the title and the first post!)

I feel more than sympathy about your situation. I once ran a small software company with my friends, initially planning software packages exploiting signal processing technology. But in reality that goal was not achieved at all, just digesting contract jobs day after day. Finally we suspended the company when one of the partners who had expertise in DSP decided to pursuit his career as a researcher.

Maybe one of the reasons we failed to survive was that we started when the economy was bull, at its peak. Or just because we did not have decent plans, channels to sell our software. Who knows.

Ah, I'm not chilling you. Where there's a will there's a way. (Just we didn't have a strong will.) And you have a partner supporting you while starting it up. Very encouraging factor.

And just a typo correction: 文字マジック, not 文字マッジク.
